Hikimono Craftsmanship
Hikimono is a technique used to create bowls and trays, where wood is carefully crafted to achieve smooth, round shapes.

KIYOLA KF-25 – Design Highlights

Clean, squared form with no excess, the KF-25 design is rooted in traditional Japanese craftsmanship in which wooden boards are joined at right angles without nails. The history of joinery dates back to the Heian period (794–12th Century).

Kanzashi Joint
This technique joins wooden parts without nails and is stronger than normal joints. This hidden technique enhances the design and is performed by skilled craftsmen to account for the wood's natural expansion and contraction.
