Immersive Piano Sound

The CSP-200 Series incorporates advanced technology called Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) into its Piano Voices, resulting in a more realistic and immersive sound. This means that when you play these pianos, they will sound closer to an actual grand piano.

The series also introduces the Grand Expression Modeling feature, which accurately captures the subtle variations in tone that occur based on how you play the keys. This adds depth and nuance to your performances, making them more expressive and dynamic.

The CSP-255 and CSP-275 models offer a wide selection of 819 instrument voices to choose from.

If you choose the CSP-295 or CSP-295GP models, you'll have an even greater variety with 919 instrument voices available. This extensive range allows for even more versatility and creativity when it comes to creating and exploring different musical sounds.

Enhanced Playing Experience

All the pianos in the Clavinova CSP-200 Series have the famous sounds of Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial grand pianos. These grand pianos are used in top piano competitions around the world. So, you can enjoy the beautiful tones of these grand pianos, as well as other famous piano sounds.

Bluetooth Connectivity

All the pianos in the series can connect to mobile devices wirelessly using Bluetooth MIDI and Audio. This is a useful feature if you want to practice with your phone. In addition, this eliminates the need for cables and makes it easy to control the instruments. The digital pianos are also coming with a USB cable (Type-C to Type-C) included. So, if you have a smart device with a Type-C port, you can connect it to the piano using this cable.

Headphone Convenience

All four models are equipped with a standard stereo phone jack (x2), allowing you to practice quietly at home by connecting headphones. This gives you the opportunity to play and enjoy the piano without disturbing others.

Furthermore, the Bösendorfer Imperial and Yamaha CFX pianos in the series utilize binaural sampling. This advanced technique provides an immersive and realistic experience when playing with headphones. It enhances the spatial sound perception, making it feel as if you are playing a grand piano in a natural acoustic environment.

Authentic Keyboards

The CSP-255 and CSP-275 models have an 88-key GrandTouch-S™ weighted keyboard that feels like playing a real piano. The CSP-275 even has real wood keys, making it even more authentic.

On the other hand, the CSP-295 and CSP-295GP models feature the expressive 88-key GrandTouch™ counterweighted keyboard. This keyboard design has longer keys, similar to Yamaha's premium S3X grand piano. It gives you better control and leverage, allowing for more expressive playing, even on the back keys. In fact, it has the longest support length among digital pianos.

Realistic Pedals:

All four models in the series come with three pedals: Damper, Sostenuto, and Soft. These pedals have multiple assignable functions like Sustain, Sostenuto, Soft, Glide, Style Start/Stop, Volume, and more. They offer versatility and control for different playing techniques and musical styles.

The CSP-295 and CSP-295GP models have a special GP Response Damper Pedal. It mimics the resistance curve of a grand piano's damper pedal. When you lightly press it, it feels light, and as you press it further, it gradually becomes heavier, allowing for precise control and expression in pedaling.

The CSP-295GP's GrandTouch™ Pedals go even further by recreating the unique friction sensation of a grand piano pedal. They feel heavy when pressed and have a light return. These pedals also have a mechanism that mimics the fulcrum position of a grand piano, creating a highly realistic playing experience.

Superb Speaker Systems

Each model in the series has great speakers, and as you move up the line, there are slight improvements in the speaker configuration. Here's a breakdown of the speaker systems for each model:

  • CSP-255: 40W × 2

  • CSP-275: 50W + 50W × 2

  • CSP-295: 50W + 50W + 40W) x 2 dome speakers with Bidirectional Horn

  • CSP-295GP: (50W + 50W + 40W) x 2 Two dome speakers with Waveguide, along with a 20 cm Spruce Cone Speaker and Twisted Flare Ports

CSP-295: BI-DIRECTIONAL HORNS

The CSP-295 model stands out with its powerful 3-way speaker system, which includes dedicated mid and treble units, as well as bass speakers. These speakers are strategically placed within the piano body to achieve a balanced and optimal sound, aiming to replicate the sound of a grand piano.

Elegant Design

All four models in the series are designed to be beautiful digital pianos for your home.

  • The CSP-255 comes in three colors: Black polished, Black, and White.

  • The CSP-275 is available in three colors: Black polished, Black, and White.

The CSP-295 is the flagship model of the series and has an expressive design. It closely resembles the appearance and feel of an acoustic piano, featuring a rotating lid with a music stand and minimal controls.

The CSP-295GP is the grand piano version of the CSP-295. It is perfect for those who have always dreamed of owning their own grand piano at home. It has a piano top that can be opened and closed, giving it a sophisticated look like a grand piano.

Smart pianist app:

The Yamaha Smart Pianist app is a free app that lets you connect your smart device to the instrument. It enhances your playing experience by giving you control over the instrument's features and settings right from your device.

With the app, you can easily choose from a variety of instrument sounds and even switch between different virtual performance spaces like concert halls or cathedrals, each with its unique acoustic environment.

The free Yamaha Smart Pianist app provides intuitive operation of the instrument and can be connected wirelessly even via Bluetooth® MIDI.

Stream lights

The CSP-200 series has a special feature called Stream Lights, available on all models. It helps guide you to the next keys to play, even if you don't read sheet music.

You can personalize Stream Lights to suit your needs. It can be set for the left or right hand only, so you can focus on specific areas of your playing. If you encounter difficult parts, you can slow down the tempo to practice and improve. There is also a Guide function that pauses the song until you play the correct keys.

Stream Lights in the CSP-200 series makes learning and practicing easier by visually guiding you through the music.
