On the 6th of September 2022 we had the honour of having Fulvio Pesenti and Ralf Schink from Dexibell visit our Showroom in Brabrand to personally share the vision of their brand and introduce the Vivo H-10 series to us. They explained what makes their brand so special and demonstrated some of the many functions of the pianos to us.

Functionalities

The H10 series features many popular samples in its library. However, in case you are missing a specific sound, you can just download it and add it to your library. If you for example feel like playing Chopins favorite 1850s romantic era grand piano, you can easily download it in Dexibells library and add it to your sounds.

True 2 Life technology

Dexibell offers its users the world’s most advanced engineering and technology. Dexibell wanted to archive the best results and therefore used their own operating system. Dexibell did not only use physical modelling or just sampling but both, which is an unconventional approach.

In order to do so, they created the “True 2 Life” (T2L) technology. This technology has various algorithms which can re-create the interaction between the notes. It also has unlimited polyphony.

When it comes to settings of the T2L editor Dexibell offers limitless opportunities. One can adjust the resonance, reverb, hammer noise key off noise, the damper noise, strings, amp noise and much more. All those options allow a close interaction between the sound and the player and makes the experience feel more “alive”.

All of those adjustments are different depending on the instrument. When for example choosing a flute, one can adjust the wind or valve noise. Dexibell takes all the specific details of the instruments into account and calls it “art of noise”.

Additional functions

In addition to that one can connect a USB-stick to the piano and play playback, MP3 files and much more.

Due to the strong sound engine, it is also easy to layer sounds.

Furthermore, one can download everything as a back-up and use it as an audio interface. This feature is especially useful for musicians who are on tour as all of their adjustments can easily be transferred to other instruments, so they can play with the same adjusted sounds they like to use at home.

The keys of the H10 series are the Fatar keys, which are graded. They are wood hybrid keys with ebony/ivory feel which have 3 contacts and therefore allow a highly realistic touch.

App and Design

Dexibell of course also offers a Bluetooth connection which makes the connection to the Vivo editor app easy. There you can also adjust all the functions if you do not feel like doing it manually. You can for example choose a split point or adjust the T2L parameters. One should mention Dexiblls unique Italian Design which makes it one of a kind.

All in all, one can say that Dexibells used technology is highly unique and allows an extremely realistic special playing experience. This is mostly due to its many possible adjustments of their true to life technology.
